YOUTH. Facial Moisturizer + Cleansing Oil Hybrid.

Love love love this product.

I have been meaning to write a review for these amazing ladies (Sylvan and Mama Joy) for a very long time, but haven't gotten around to it - until now!
I have always taken good care of my skin, particularly since when I was a teenager and had horrible cystic acne that required taking Accutane. When the acne finally cleared up, I started looking at alternatives to skincare that weren't purchased at a drugstore. I've tried it all - Clinique, Biotherm, Shiseido, Clarins, Estee Lauder - the list goes on and on.

During the pandemic, I worked as a unit clerk in several hospital clinics, which, as most people know, required continuous masking. Some shifts were 8 hours, some were 12. This wreaked havoc on my skin, particularly in the perioral area. I had bacterial infections so bad that my skin was red, raw and weeping. It was very painful. The only thing that cured it was taking doxycyline, which then caused a horribly upset stomach. I worked with a nurse who told me about the Potion Masters, so I contacted Sylvan and she recommended trying Comfort to soothe my skin. I ordered it right away, along with Fairy Fountain and Bibbidi Spotiby Boo for hormonal breakouts. I could not believe how quickly Comfort worked to soothe my terribly upset skin. I carried it around with me everywhere! Every chance I got, I reapplied it underneath my mask to keep my skin from flaring up again.

Since then, I have tried many other Potions, and have not been disappointed in any of them. I do have a few staples/favourites though. I am getting older and since figuring out I'm in perimenopause I've noticed that my 50+ year old skin is starting to get dehydrated. My absolute favourite for combatting this is Youth. The scent is absolute heaven. I layer it under a moisturizer and then top with a tinted sunscreen. No makeup required and I get compliments all the time on how glowing my skin is. My skin doesn't dry out mid-day like it does with any other (more expensive) moisturizers out there.

For body Potions, my absolute favourite is Love. I mix that with a shea butter body lotion and apply to damp skin straight out of the shower. No more itchy dry skin and "body dandruff" coming off on all my work clothes! I also recently tried the Evermore Hair & Scalp Oil. The scent is just dreamy. I love putting this on my hair right before bed and leaving it on the whole night. Other face potions I have tried and enjoyed, but have not repurchased (just a personal preference as to what works best for me) - Vitality Eye, Naaid Nectar, Frolic Skin Polish (I may purchase this again next winter).

In summary, my personal opinion is that you cannot go wrong with any of these amazing products. However, if you are sensitive to scents, I highly recommend reaching out to Sylvan before you purchase to go over your skin concerns so she can recommend the right products for you. It's what I did, and sometimes I still get in touch with her to make recommendations based on seasonal conditions. She's a wiz and so helpful.
